Bob Carlton of Silent Wings Airshows will be putting on a flight demo with his Alisport Silent-J jet sailplane. This Beauty is the beast! The world's only twin jet sailplane. Bob will fly at 7:45am on Saturday and Sunday. Powered by twin AMT-USA AT-450 engines, the highly modified Alisport Silent-J is the only sailplane on the airshow circuit capable of performing a low-level, jet-powered airshow performance. Then, utilizing the exclusive retractable engine pylon, the Silent-J climbs to altitude without a tow plane. After engine shutdown, the engine pod is fully retracted into the fuselage, transforming the aircraft into a silent beauty, ready for a spectacular exhibition of graceful sailplane aerobatics, choreographed to classical music, and featuring the world-famous Silent Wings smoke. AMT USA would like to thank Bob Carlton and Frank Tiano for working with us to make this possible. Unfortunately Bob will be unable to fly his low level aerobatics routine this year. This is due to time constraints, paper work involved, and site preparations could not be made.
