MAB was nothing short of outstanding as usual...... not to hot, no rain with some head wind and some cross wind. Dennis, Vernon and the local crew were all there doing there thing... entertaining the participants.

Kevin Whitlow's Air Macki MB-339
ow this is a unique piece,HUH?

The Hawg, I sure made the landing a lot more difficult
than it is due to using full flaps for the first time without
sufficient power and that's a Roger!!!!!!

Greg Pulcini's A-5 Vigilanti Stable flyer and you can see it!

Texas Kinney's Air Champ F-15 Looking Good..
Wm. may have more fun than anyone?

Lewis Patton's F9F-5 Panther CAI The last one of a kind.....
Powered by an AMT/AT280

The Lotts have added a new dimension to their Chicken Flop by installing a thrust vectoring system to the rear of the Euro Firebird. The vertical vane controls yaw and horizontal vane controls pitch. These vanes give them airlon control at very low speeds due to the exhaust. It will hover in the vertical mode with good thumbs. Eventually they will install a gyro on both axis's so hovering should be a bit easier.

MISSISSIPPI AFTERBURNED 02
MAB was attended by some 65 pilots Hopefully some things never change i.e. Vernon Montgomery and Dennis Lott as Co chairs along with the outstanding support from the Tri-City Cloud Dancer. Good Folks and Good Friends.

The weather was cool and great except for an afternoon shower. The Friday night barbecue was very good and the Saturday Catfish and Crawfish were absolutely ou9tstanding…. congratulations to the cook, Gary Lott, Dennis's Brother.

There were no crashes….alright! There was only one ducted fan flight by Don Peck….do you believe it?

Eddie Weeks won Best Sport Turbine with his AMT powered Isobar. Mitch Weiss won Best Scale Turbine with his F-100. Jason summers, what a pleasant young man, won $100 for the most flights. Paul Lott, man can he fly a Firebird, won $50 for the second most flights. Phil Nusa won $25 for the third most flights.

There will be a 12th MAB in 03.
