Just fun to look at your site, and I'm interessted in jet.
I'm going to build a jet-engine, but there is not easy to get information about how to buid. I'm looking for latest technology, not for books that's many years old. Do you know where to find update information on internett. Usually jet engine is made with only one compression-level, but i want to make many about ten levels. You have got a good site here. I'm forman in our RC-club here on Stord, a little island west of Norway at same level as Oslo. See you.

Hi guys...nice site Roger. Hope to see you all at Heart of Ohio this year. My son and I always have a great time flying all three days. Well, I have finally broken down (my wife :)) and bought a AMT Mercury. I have it on a test bench now. I am planning to put it in a Yellow Single F-18. However, I don't want to deal with the splitting of the exhaust. I would like to try to find a L-39 Albatros kit to stick it in. Anyone know of a kit available now? Lemme know at: K2theXtrm@aol.com See you guys at Columbus...keep the pointy end forward at the hot end back :) Ron and Jon

Starter jet kits for kids?
Hello. My son Nigel is eight years old and is interested in radio controled model aircraft flying (I fly real Cessna's). I know little about radio controlled model aircraft and would like to find him an aircraft he can train with that can take some crashing and is easy on the fingers. We have a joystick on our computer for MS Flight Simulator 98 and would be interested in a RC controler which he could train on with the PC. Can somebody there give us some ideas on ready to go products to get him in the air please. Thank you.

Newcomers to R/C jet flying
Hi Roger, I sure wish manufacturers would put an emphasis on entry-level r/c jets, and low-cost models. Also too many jet rallys emphasize competition, instead of public awareness and exposure. How about manufacturers offering ready-to-fly models(i,e-buy it & fly it).Would like ama to change some rules to allow afterburners, more thuust ,etc, thanks !!

Newcomers to r/c jet flying
Hi Roger, I would lke for manufacturers to emphasize low cost entry level jets for beginners, and prop-pilots,,also would like to see arf kits, and ready to fly factory built kits available,,and for AMA to upgarde rules to allow afterburners, higher thrust engines, etc w/waivers (proof of skill),and for rallys not to emphasize competition only.

AMA Rules/Insurance Coverage
Has anyone made inquiry in regards to any other insurance carrierother than AMA who will recognize the desires of r/c jet modellers such as higher thrust to weight ratio turbines,,etc. The r/c jet flyers in Europe don't have the restrictions that we have here in USA. The USA pilots are just as safe and proficient as elsewhere. Such restrictions by AMA prohibit advanced designs and performance by jet modelers.USA pilots are not reckless as a whole and I feel this matter should be reviewed.

To Whom It May Concern, I am interested in getting started in R/C flight. And, as a result, I am looking for scale plans, for the Boeing E-3A AWACS, or the C-9A Nightingale. I am planning on these planes being powered by a turbine engine. I can be contacted via e-mail, (listed above). THANK YOU, I await your reply.

Pretty neat site. I fly a F-15 Eagle Turbine with a Turbomin T100 for power house. I also fly helicopters, ducted fans (got two in fact) and numerous fixed wing planes, (one on the lake) Anyone coming to the Bahamas (Nassau) drop me a line so I can show you our field. Best in the world..

R/C jet shows
Hello Roger. Regarding last Superman show,, The C/D has the right idea to have a show not regulated with the highly lilited restrictions of the AMA which keeps a lot of European flyers and larger aircraft out of the flying picture. I believe the shows should have their own insurance and safety rules. The sport is growing at steady rate. Its a great community and loads of fun. Safety is key and we must increase the shows and exhibits around the world to give more exposure to the sport. keep up the good work !!!!!!

F-15 Regal Eagle
I have had (2) Regal Eagles and loved flying both of them. My current jet is 6-7 years old with many, many flights on it. It has got to be one of the finest 1st time jets of all time. Not because of the scale looks because it is NOT a scale jet, but for the cost, ease of assembly, and very forgiving and able to handle some very ROUGH grass field landings. I've been in R.C. for over 20 plus years and still get excited taking my Eagle out on the weekends. Sure there are other jets out there that look allot nicer, but remember, how much do you want to spend for a first time jet. You may find out that this is NOT for you, especially, if you have $2-3000 dollars in one and it don't survive.. Enjoyed the site. Keep up the great work. Semper Fi.

Question: Jet Trails / Afterburners
Hello. I'm trying to write an objective article about contrails for xenophilia.com and I wonder if anyone here can help me. I didn't find a link here to the main site, but I see the topic is Jets. The other day I saw a jet trail in a perfectly blue sky. The strange thing was, it started very crisply right in the middle of the sky. Do jets have some kind of afterburner they turn on that makes them leave a trail?

Hi Roger ! This is a verry nice web site. I have talked to you on the phone about building the firebird. I'm going to try and keep a eye on this site for more construction ideas on building as you know the kit had verry little instructions and was in German . I don't want to go cuting it up and not know where to put the access doors and size's or how many . Did I read where you put a air brake on your's ? Any info will be deeply appreciated . Thanks BiLL.

Roger!...Just a super, super site! I am a member of the "GAS TURBINE BUILDERS ASSOCIATION,# 1205. " Scratchbuild all of my engines & aircraft except the radio equipment. Lately, I have been getting some flight hours in full size aircraft...(only piston...yech!) When I get my private license, I plan to scratchbuild my own single seat experimental jet using a homebuilt turbine.....Ohh yeah..I'm also a member of AOPA...# 3337864, & EEA # 627321.( Flying full size aircraft is easier...but a little more expensive.)...Hey!, do you guys ever read the magazine " R.C.JET INTERNATIONAL" ? This magazine only caters to all the lastest R.C. jet technology. My favorite...It's published by TRAPLET PUBLICATIONS, with a new office in Urbana, Ill. Happy flying.

Addictive hobbies
Dear Roger: I am also addicted to radio controlled models and big game hunting. My passion are modern fighter aircraft (F 14, 15, 16, 18 etc). Upon returning from Africa, Ernest Hemminway was asked what were his plans after his much talked about safari;his reply was very appropiate: Make enough money to go back. I thought that I could go on a lifetime experience but after three safaris ( Zimbabwe, RSA & Zambia)I still come back figuring out when I will be able to afford another one. Thanks for the pictures. You got a few decent bucks!. I was involved with ducted fans in the early 1980's but after learning of the availability of real model turbines my addiction to jet models is really bad.Currently, I am considering an Avond's F-15. Already spoke to a gentleman named Jack Holland who builds them. Do you know of any one who can advice me on TGA'S F-16, Vs.Avond's F-15, as well as AMT vs. Simjet turbines?Thank You for any help. Sincerely, Luis

Jets (DF and Turbine)
Looks like a great place to meet modelers, any type of aircraft are in my love of the hobby, I'm 66 years old and been a modeler all my life, have about 30 giant scale models and 3 jet type, two of which are DF. I flew my first turbine last week, a converted Byron F15 with a Ram 1000, it flies great.

Used Turbines
Has any one got a Turbine thet would like to donate to me, In return you will see the worlds first gas turbine powered F-117a Nighthawk. The airframe has been built and heat plated at the rear and sprayed. If anyone is kind enough to donate or part with an old JPX 2? for a very small sum i would be forever in your debt. I will send pictures and video footage to them after the test flights this year at the wings and wheels model airshow in England. x thankyou for taking time to read this message.Daryl.

nice jets!
hey these are really cool! I'm 15 and really into anything RC, as long as it's not electric-in other words gas only! I've got a truck and a plane that needs some work, but I've always admired the jets, because I try to know everything about flight, and jets are faster than all other RC stuff, and I think it would be really cool to fly one! That's why I'm going to be an Air Force or Navy pilot. But I guess just email me with any tips about RC jets, like how much it costs to build one, are the engines homemade or prebuilt and bought, are they hard to fly, that kind of thing, etc. -Jordan N.

no pictures of ray ruemmele?
you need a photo of ray ruemmele as it would improve the number of hits (among the demographic of blind women between 35-60 ) I would also like to see a picture of roger without his toupee..perhaps when he sends it out to the cleaners he can arrange a window for the photo shoot.

Hello Roger. Ran across this site. I don't have any or fly an RC plane but have always been fasinated with them and the real things. My SON however has gotten the bug for it and this would be a great event to watch. It appears to be open to the General public? When will there be another chance to watch? I see Ralphs jet come in sometimes.

Roger, Great web site. I love how you've put it together pal. So, there's no mention of St George, Utah's Jet meet May 7,8, & 9th. These folks might be a little laid back and slow to ramp up on this event, but I understand it's a beautiful ride and flying site. The Denver Jet Jocks are all heading that way. I might as well, but I've got a dam ridig neck brace on til late June and although the doc says "GO FLY, LOOKING UP is good", I don't know if I'm really up for the 12 hours road trip. Well see. Just thought I ping ya about St George. Silly Jeffco blew off their Jet Meet this year. That was Stupid. They were just staring to get momentum with it too. And for me for right now "local" is good. Oh well. I'll catch you at one of these YOU'VE listed, for sure. I have reserved a Class A 34 Coach for Boise ID's Jet Meet in July! No neck brace by then, for sure. Larry
