Superman 03
EVENT REPORT

Superman week has transitioned from a Huge event into a very Classy jet rally one can hope this will be the case in other maturing events. It has gone from a high of 250 registered pilots to 150 on its 15 anniversary. I witnessed only one single pilot/turbine that appeared out of place. This year's setup also demonstrated major improvements in tripling the start-up area, clearing some of the congestion on the parking area, established two front row spectator areas, organizing the motor home parking, vendor row, etc. Jerry reports that there will be an additional taxiway 400 feet parallel and East of the main runway and 1200 feet running south from the parking area. This will permit shelters to be adjacent to pavement with startup area right in front and taxi to the apron and runway. This setup worked extremely well at Ozark Mountain Jets this September. We cannot recall witnessing Jerry and Family be so relaxed and enjoying their own event! Change is good, HUH? The dates for Superman #16 are September 28th thru October 2nd. Jerry says the fees will probably remain about the same.
