Perks are back in Warzone 3.0, and just like in previous Warzone iterations, perks can be game-changers when used correctly. Let’s take a look at the best Warzone perks for each slot that can help you win more games.
Best Perks for Warzone
When making a loadout, Warzone players have the option to select four perks. Perk slots 1 and 2 share the same list of perks, while perk slots 3 and 4 each have their own pool of perks to choose from. Below, we detail three of the strongest perks to use in each slot.
Best Perks for Slot 1/2
- Double Time
- Mountaineer
- Irradiated
Speed kills, so it should be no surprise our first perk choice is Double Time, which can double your tactical sprint duration and reduce its refresh time. Double time is useful in a variety of situations, and it’s especially valuable on the large battle royale maps where players need to move further distances.
Mountaineer is a new Warzone perk that reduces fall damage and the effects of fall damage, essentially doubling the distance you can leap from without dying. High-level Warzone players pick Mountaineer to more stealthily attack players from above, or to escape from a bad situation.
Irradiated enables players to move faster and take less damage from gas. This perk becomes stronger as games progress and the circle tightens, allowing players to make plays in the gas that could help secure the win.
Best Perks for Slot 3
- Quick Fix
- Tempered
- Cold-Blooded
Quick Fix initiates health regeneration when eliminating a player or inserting an armor plate. This perk allows players to reset fights more quickly, and it can be more beneficial than Tempered when considering the time taken to get back to full HP.
Tempered allows players to refill their armor with two plates instead of three. Although it’s not as fast for resetting fights as Quick Fix, Tempered still will enable players to get back full armor quickly and it can conserve armor plates throughout a match.
Cold-Blooded makes players undetectable by thermal optics, Tactical Cameras, and Recon Drones, while also disabling the effects of High Alert and Combat Scout. Since High Alert is one of the strongest and most-used perks in the meta, Cold-Blooded can negate its effects and lure enemies into a false sense of security.
Best Perks for Slot 4
- Ghost
- High Alert
- Birdseye
The Ghost perk will be familiar to Call of Duty veterans. It blocks detection by UAVs, heartbeat sensors, and portable radars. Ghost is especially strong when playing solo. Just make sure to equip a suppressor so gunfire doesn’t give your position away.
High Alert will notify you when a player within 100 meters aims in your direction. This perk can be the eyes in the back of your head, helping reduce the threat of getting shot in the back.
The direct counter to Ghost, Birdseye, scans UAVs more quickly, shows the heading of enemy players, and detects Ghosted players. Birdseye ensures your squad has a complete picture of the battlefield, and it’s good to have at least one member of a team running this perk.
Warzone Perk Package Recommendations
Here are some recommended perk packages you can try in solo or squads. Choose the one that best fits your playstyle!
Rotate Package
- Double Time
- Irradiated
- Quick Fix
- Ghost
The Rotate package is all about helping you make those crucial rotations to win games. This package is for the players who prioritize winning over getting kills, and it’s especially helpful for large-map battle royale modes.
Double Time and Irradiated work together here to help make those game-winning rotations through the gas in the late game. The Ghost perk helps you stay off the radar when flanking enemies, and Quick Fix helps reset any fight that’s not in your favor.
Aggressive Package
- Double Time
- Mountaineer
- Quick Fix
- Birdseye
The Aggressive package is perfect for the sweaty player who wants to push gunshots and take more fights. This package is geared more towards the resurgence game mode, but it can be deadly on the large maps as well.
Birdseye locates the prey, then Double Time and Mountaineer help close the distance before enemies know what hit them. Finally, Quick Fix is there to even the odds when facing more than one player at a time.
Ghost Package
- Irradiated
- Spotter
- Cold-Blooded
- Ghost
The Ghost package is for the stealth guru, someone who likes to stalk their prey and relay that information back to the rest of their team.
Irradiated gives you the opportunity to go for unexpected flanks through the gas, while Spotter ensures you don’t get tripped up by enemy equipment in buildings and while making rotations. Then, Cold-Blooded and Ghost limit the enemy’s ability to nail down your location so you can stay undetected like a ghost in the mist.
